Kingdom of Vānaras: The Lost World of Kiṣkindhā
Hidden among the dramatic boulder-strewn hills of Hampi and Anegundi in Karnataka lies a landscape steeped in one of India's greatest epics—the legendary Kingdom of Kiṣkindhā , home of the Vānaras. According to the Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa , Kiṣkindhā was ruled by the mighty brothers Vāli and Sugrīva , descendants of the legendary Ṛkṣarāja.
